JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Action news crews dispersed across Jacksonville to monitor bridges for ice all morning.
There is a very light, cold drizzle falling downtown. No icy patches or slicks spots have been reported this morning.
FDOT told Action News last night that their main concern is for bridges with metal grates. These bridges have more air moving through them and therefore sit at lower temperatures.
In particular, FDOT is monitoring the Main St. Bridge, the Sister's Creek Bridge, the Ortega River Bridge and the Crescent Beach Bridge. They treated these areas with a salt and sand mixture to help prevent slick spots.
