JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Onshore east winds will dominate the local weather pattern for Jacksonville and surrounding areas for the next few days.  The result will be isolated brief morning showers near the coast then widely scattered showers near I-95 during the lunch hour.  By late afternoon widely scattered showers and storms will have pushed well inland -- near and west of Highway 301. This overall drier pattern will continue for most of the week.
Temperatures will be seasonably hot hitting the low to mid 90s inland but "only" the upper 80s at the beaches thanks to east winds off the ocean.  Beware, however, of an enhanced rip current risk through at least Thursday.
