Numerous tires slashed in NW St. Johns County

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. --The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office is looking for the person or people who slashed over 100 tires around the northwestern part of the county over the weekend.

Deputies responded to Durbin Crossing North, Aberdeen and Julington Creek Plantation on Sunday morning after 101 tires were slashed or punctured on 28 vehicles at 17 residences.

Thirteen vehicles were damaged at eight homes in the 1600 block of Fenton Ave. There were also 13 vehicles damaged at seven homes in the nearby 1700 block of Pennan Place.

Another vehicle had three tires damaged in the 400 block of Chattan Way and three more tires were slashed on another vehicle at a residence in the 100 block of Mahogany Bay Drive.

The estimated cost to replace all of the damaged tires was more than $22,000.

There are no known suspects.

Show up on my property at night, with a knife and you're likely to find yourself standing at the business end of my 9mm, which will also be the last thing you will be seeing for the rest of your life. Then I do hope someone captures these clowns, so they can be arrested, before they run into someone like me.

obviously,, a very disturbed individual !!! i wouldn't want to be this kids parents,, when they catch them/him.her !!! $22,000.00 is an awful lot out of pocket for restitution...look for someone who recently moved into the area & isn't happy about mom & pops choice of locale !!! yet this slasher needs to be apprehended quickly,, before he/she/they encounters someone while slashing tires... a throat could be his/her/ their next choice...i'm happy we can shoot them & toss em in the intracoastal on the ebbing tides !!!damn how i miss those orange groves of pasco county !!!
