JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- The first round of heavy showers and storms moved into the Atlantic by late afternoon and will leave behind partly to mostly cloudy skies with rain cooled temperatures in the 70s to low 80s but with very high humidity. The high humidity will make up for the cooler temperatures allowing the redevelopment of a few scattered showers and storms from late evening through the overnight. Some morning sun Saturday will lead to the development of numerous showers and storms again that will move from southwest to northeast. Locally heavy downpours will drop 1-3" of rain in a short time in some areas. Temperatures will top out in the 80s. A little bit of a change Sunday as onshore flow will push morning coastal showers inland in the afternoon with thunderstorms developing mainly near and west of I-95. Click ** here
