One man dead, one in jail after a fight over money
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Jacksonville man is facing manslaughter charges after police say he attacked and killed a Jerry Wayne Campbell in a fight over money.
Campbell, 65, was found by his girlfriend lying outside a home on February 11.
Police say Campbell had severe injuries to his face. He was taken to Orange Park Medical Center.
Tuesday, JSO announced the arrest of 60-year-old Thomas Wayne Compton. They say the two were fighting over money when Campbell was attacked.
