Just speculating, but it was 2:30 in the morning on Sunday, just after the bars closed. I'm guessing that there was probably alcohol involved. If so, then even the "stand your ground law" and/or a concealed weapons permit wouldn't protect the shooter, if he/she had been partaking of the booze. Florida statutes have several provisions prohibiting firearms possession while impaired.

nah that won't fly,, he could have gotten in his vehicle & driven off, doesn't sound like stand your ground at all, not when the option is to leave... stupid law for ignorant people.. what do you expect... castle doctrine is fine, but in public, turn,leave,if threatened, then shoot.. but to pull a weapon & shoot just because you have a few words,, sounds like looking to escalate the situation, so you can shoot...did shooter have carry permit ??? or was this more brother on brother crime ??? details details action news...
