PALM COAST, Fla. -- The Flagler County Sheriff's Office and the St. Johns County Hazmat Unit were called Friday to dismantle a meth lab at a Palm Coast home that had been under investigation for weeks.
Sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant at a home on Cooper Lane around 1 p.m.
Investigators found an active meth lab on an outside patio. Five adults and two children, both 4 years old, were found inside.
Brent Chambers, 35; Heather Hastey, 42, and Will Hodge, 30 were charged with manufacturing of methamphetamine.. DCF was called out to determine the conditions of the children and whether they will be taken into emergency custody. No charges were filed against the two other adults in the home.
Traffic in and out of the neighborhood on Clubhouse Drive is currently interrupted and motorists are asked to avoid that area.
Police say it appears the meth was being used for personal use, but also being manufactured for distribution to others. The Palm Coast Fire Department was also helping out.
