I bet the Officer was looking down at his computer like the majority of the other Officers I pass on the streets. Stepped into traffic. Try to pass that one onto his family.

This is so sad. I think it's really irritating how you report that the driver "stepped into traffic". Like he would just...........step into traffic. I personally know one of the eye-witnesses and that's not exactly how it happened. And even if the driver DID walk out from behind his truck, why wouldn't he be able to have room there? Why was the officer THAT close to his truck in the first place? And why were his sirens not on if he was going that fast? I hope they really DO investigate it further.
