Just for the record. I saw this woman not too long ago, and she was "stoned" out of her mind. If it wasn't her, she definitely has a "twin". She should be charged with child abuse/neglect and has no business with children. Can't help but wonder if crack or meth might be her top priority instead of her children.

Ms.Perriwinkle, I am so sorry your daughter was given into the hands of this evil man.I am so sorry for the suffering she endured before being thrown out like a piece of trash. In short I am so sorry for cherish. But Ms. Perriwinkle, you put all those baby girls in danger in the first place. You took them out at night, you picked up a strange man in a store, you put them in his van,and YOU ALONE let him take cherish into a dressing room to try on clothes. And then on the promise of a few burgers, you let him walk away with that child. Even then you did not tell the police the truth, but a made up story. No Ms. Perriwinkle it was NOT the police, IT WAS YOU. I know this is a hard thing to face dear, but you can not run around forever blaming everyone. The state has removed the 2 girls that you did not get murdered. Thank god. Please do the right thing, let someone else give them a stable, loving home to grow up in.If you love them at all, let them go.

The police would not have had to do their jobs at all if Rayne had done hers to begin with!!!! She is a disgrace to all the "REAL" mothers out here.

She shouldn't have trusted him in the first place or left him alone with her baby girl. The police don't have a missing persons case until 24 hours, and how is it a missing person if she allowed her child to stay with this man? How are the police at fault for something she allowed? I'm heartbroken for her, I don't believe she's a terrible mother or that she brought this on herself or any of these terrible things that yall are saying. She just wanted to trust someone who seemed to want to help her. It's sad but she can't blame others, this isn't the police fault.

Would not have happened if she had done her job as a parent

IT AMAZES ME THAT PEOPLE WOULD FEED INTO THIS OR THAT IT WOULD GET AIR TIME. Yes should dispatchers take callers more seriously sure but how in the world could a woman, who allowed her daughter to go off with a random stranger just to get some space from her daughter who was misbehaving because she did not want to move to her dads, mind you because the mother could not care for her, get on television and try to place the limelight and blame on anyone. Seriously what in the world have we come to these days. How about this don't let your children walk off to mcdonalds with random strangers you meet out at night. BE A PARENT, novel concept and yes we all make mistakes and being a parent is difficult at times and that's fine but don't dare try to let the poo roll down hill just to make your self feel better over a dumb decision you made because you don't want to take responsibility. MAN SERIOUSLY

It's the mother's fault. she shouldn't of got in the van or let him take Cherish.Gotta use common sense creepy guy paying alot of Attention to a little girl. It's not the police officer's job to do that it's the parents job to protect your own kids and watch out for weird people. All she had to do was say no.Cherish would be alive if she would of used.common sense.

The woman who borne Cherish (I will not call her a mother) should keep her mouth shut! She is responsible for the girl's death and should be charged with accomplice to commit murder. Child endangerment in the least. How dare she act like the injured party ! Had she protected her child rather than send her with a stranger Cherish would be alive today. I hope she never gets the other children back. If she does this system of child protection is in need of a make over!!!!!!!!
