Person hit by JSO cruiser

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A person crossing the street was hit by a JSO cruiser on Moncrief Road.

The Traffic Homicide unit responded to the scene at Cleveland Road and W. Moncrief Road.

The officer was on duty and driving south on Moncrief Road when the unidentified person stepped out in front of the car.

The patrol car received heavy damage to the front end of the vehicle.

The person was transported to UF and Shands Hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.

just some poor brother, lookin foe a payday !!! he's on the phone now with 1-800-ask-gary !!! j.s.o. should charge him wth jaywalking,, leavin the scene as he was thrown down the road a piece !!! that would mitigate the coming lawsuit !!!
