BRUNSWICK, Ga. - After 12 years of dedicated and loyal service to the Brunswick community, "Teeney" the 14-year-old Tibetan spaniel will be retiring at the end of 2012.

Teeney Bernard has spent his entire life volunteering for the Southeast Georgia Health System as a pet therapy dog. Every day he brought smiles to those he came into contact with, and helped lift the spirits of those in need.

Teeney, who was one of the health system's original pet therapy volunteers, was presented with a certificate for his lifetime of service and a jar of his favorite doggie treats at this year's Senior Care Center of Brunswick Festival of Lights celebration.

When asked how he felt about his lifetime of service, Teeney replied, "Ruff."
