ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office is following up on a report of a suspicious incident in Julington Creek.

On Monday, deputies responded to the Plantation Grove Subdivision to meet with the mother of a child, who told her a man asked him to get in his vehicle and guide him out of the neighborhood.

The child reportedly pointed toward the egress of the neighborhood and the man drove away.

Detectives want to identify the individual who is described as a white male, 50-60 years-old, balding, with facial hair --possibly a goatee.

The vehicle is described as a newer model, red, Ford F150 with ladders in the bed of the truck.

Investigators are asking for anyone with information to call Detective Chance Anderson (904) 209-3983 or Crime Stoppers.

creamer111707-in the video above they mention that same abduction as well as another in Putnam Cty. They believe (and are wanting to find out if this is) this is the same man b/c the description of the vehicle and the man is the same. I will be sharing this story all over my friends' pages and my own since I live in Mandarin and have to small children. I also have a lot of friends that live in the Julington Creek area....they may know something. Thank you for continuing this story!

Action News: News4jax is reporting an abduction attempt yesterday morning in the area of Hartsfield & Merrill Road in Jacksonville and the description matches the one in this story. Do you know if the police think it's the same person?
