JACKSONVILLE Fla.-- If a picture is worth 1,000 words, people could go on forever talking about the photos that have surfaced from "superstorm" Sandy as she takes a bite out of the Big Apple.

Behind the lens, you and your families in the northeast; recording the historic storm.

Photos of flooded stairwells, and cabs swallowed by storm surge waters were sent in from New York City. Action News also received snap shots of sand taking over New Jersey's shore points, and age old amusement parks flattened. At Seaside Heights, NJ one viewer sent in a photo of a rollercoaster falling into the sea.

In one photo, Sandy stings lower Manhattan's Ground Zero, turning the construction site into a cascading waterfall and inflicting fresh pain on an area still recovering from heartache.
