GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The pilot involved in Saturday's crash is the same one who was hit by celebratory gunfire while flying near downtown Jacksonville on New Year's Eve, according to Beach Banners.

Joel Weaner tells Action News that Graham Hill, 28, was even flying the same Cessna aircraft that was hit in 2012.

Both Hill and his passenger, 26-year-old Ian Conrad, are expected to make a full recovery.

University of Florida police say on Saturday Hill's plane lost power as it was flying over the city.

The plane eventually crashed landed on Flavet Field, near Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

No one on the ground in either the 2012 incident or Saturday's was injured.

Gee, I guess it will take him something hitting him in the head to make him think, "maybe I shouldn't be flying".
