ORLANDO, Fla. (WFTV) -- A Hungry Howie's Pizza employee was robbed and shot after a delivery at an Orlando apartment complex Friday night, police said.

Authorities responded to the Metro Place Apartments off of Kirkman Road shortly before 11 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. When officers arrived the victim was found laying in the parking lot of the complex.

Investigators said an armed man approached the pizza delivery driver and demanded his money. The victim was shot by the suspect during the confrontation, authorities said.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in stable condition.

The suspect kept his face covered during the robbery and fled on foot. Police have not released a description of the man.

This isn't the first shooting incident at the Metro Place Apartments. In March of 2012 a driver was shot in the parking lot during an attempted carjacking.

If the guy had shot a police officer he would get death penalty. If he had shot a member of government it would be either death penalty or life in jail without parole. Shoot a delivery driver and you simply get 30 years in jail. Probably out way sooner with prison over crowding. Nice to see how ALL CITIZENS enjoy the same protection of the law. Think hard about that when you read these stories. Delivery drivers, convenience store clerks, and other people who are productive members of society do not get the same justice as government personnel that needs to change. Ask yourself how would you like your son or daughter to go to work get robbed shot or killed and find out the killer only gets in reality 30 years in jail, meanwhile the killer being tried next door that killed police officer gets death penalty or life in prison without parole to teach the thugs a lesson that they should only kill non important people.
