Police: False information given in missing person report
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- After a day-long investigation, police now say a missing person report was filed falsely.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says Tyrone Adams, 52, gave misleading information during its investigation. He was taken into custody around 8:45 p.m. according to investigators.
Initially, officers responded to the 12000 block of Biscayne Boulevard to investigate the missing person report. After the 2:50 a.m. call, police gave few details except to say that at that time they suspected foul play was involved.
