Police: Man threatened children in calls to governor

STARKE, Fla. -- A Bradford County man was arrested after threatening to shoot children Monday night. James Fields was charged with aggravated battery and making terroristic threats.

Yes he went way overboard by threatening to shoot anyone, even if he was just trying to get some attention. Perhaps if something had actually been done in those dozens of time the police were called out to his house in recent years his frustration level would not have gotten to that point. Perhaps if the parent of these kids had been better neighbors and insisted that their children stay off of his property things would not have come to this. A scrooge? maybe, but even scrooge deserves the right to privacy on his own property.
