Police: Man used false names to steal painkillers

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A homeless man from Jacksonville is charged with using false names to steal painkillers from local hospitals.

Police say Michael S. Green checked himself into the hospital multiple times this month under the alias Andy Dawkins.

Green told officers he lost his job six months ago and is addicted to painkillers.
Green claims he was able to obtain 15 Percocets each time he checked into the hospital under the fake name, three times this month at Shands hospital and twice at St. Vincent's South.
