JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police have arrested a suspect in a fatal road rage shooting.

Investigators say Israel Kevin Williams, 41, shot and killed Tomas Schadowsky Wednesday night near a gas station on Dunn Avenue.

Police say the two got into a verbal fight while pumping gas.

Investigators say Williams pulled over and waited for Schadowsky to pull out of the parking lot when he shot him.

Police were looking for an orange-colored SUV. A tip led to Williams' car.

"Israel Williams went to the drivers license bureau in Nassau county and had his license plates changed," said Lt. Rob Schoonover. "He obtained new plates. The old plates were the Florida A&M tag which is what we were looking for."

Police detained Williams yesterday. Investigators say he admitted to everything but the shooting.

Police say he lives blocks away from the gas station, and they believe he saw coverage of the killing on the news and tried to cover his tracks by changing out his license plates.

Williams has been charged with murder and throwing deadly missiles into a dwelling/vehicle.

Investigators are looking for the murder weapon.

Call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS if you have any information. You will stay anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Reminds me of the Jordan Davis case in some ways. Threaten or murder someone with an illegal weapon then get rid of the gun. Strange that when white man kills black man it's bad we got get guns off the streets. The white men are racist killers. There's national outrage. When black man kills white man it's down played hard. No racism there at all.Just black man who had kill the white man for talking to him bad. I am not saying that racism is not alive for black people today it still is. The case of the mother who fired warning shot and got 12 years is huge injustice for a black woman constantly beaten by ex husband. Most she should got was probation but instead 12 years for letting her ex know if he ever touched her again she would end it. There should be balance some kind even middle ground to bad that don't exist in the real world now.

The race card will be played, the news media will run with it,and a murdered man will not get the justice he deserves.

We have a serious double standard in this country in regard to the liberal news media.Trayvon Martin and Jordan Davis's killers were automatically labeled murderers by the news media and received global coverage. This killer on Dunn Avenue laid in wait to bushwack this man and it is barely mentioned on the news. Are these killngs only worth receiving global attention if it is a white person killing a black person?
