Police: Skyway bomb threat may be tied to others in the area
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police are investigating a series of bomb threats around Jacksonville.
The most recent came Thursday when someone phoned in a threat to the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Skyway was shut down around 5 p.m. Passengers on the city's rail line were transported to their destinations by bus. No device was found.
Investigators say they have received multiple calls similar to this but declined to elaborate on the locations. They believe it may be related to a call at the Orange Park Mall earlier Thursday.
