Police: Teen breaks into home, rapes woman
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police have a 19-year-old in custody after a woman identified him as the man that broke into her home and raped her.
On July 18, 2012 a woman contacted police and said that someone had broken into her home and raped her.
The victim told sex crime detectives that James Hall entered her home through an unlocked door with two friends. They chased her and a witness into the upstairs bedroom.
The two unidentified suspects that entered with James Hall held the witness down on the floor while Hall was in the room with the suspect. The victim told detectives that Hall took his pants off and forced her to have intercourse. The witness heard the victim yelling for the suspect to stop.
The victim identified James Hall as the suspect from a photo on Facebook which was pulled from her account because she and Hall are Facebook friends.
On July 24, James Hall voluntarily came to police to be questioned. He was later arrested and charged with sexual battery and burglary.
