ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- A motorcyclist is dead after a Clay County deputy attempts to pull him over on Arora Boulevard.

Kory Samuel Deyton, 24, was traveling at a high rate of speed, along with two other motorcyclists, on Blanding Boulevard when they caught the attention of a sheriff's deputy early Saturday morning.

The deputy followed the motorcyclists onto Arora Boulevard and activated his lights and siren.

The motorcyclists took off, and the deputy lost sight of all three.

A short time later the deputy observed Deyton on a residential yard.

Deyton was transported to Orange Park Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
