JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police had no problem finding one of four suspects in the killing of a man at a local apartment complex.

On Aug. 6, Wesley Phelps Bridges was fatally shot at the Parkview Place Apartments at 6226 Barnes Road.

Investigators found a wallet containing identification belonging to Jarquavis De'Vonte Davis near the scene. On August 8, Davis was arrested on an outstanding capias. He admited to JSO to being involved in the murder but was not the shooter. He also said that they suspects originally intended to commit a robbery.

Roteia Lashay Hutchison was also interviewed and admitted that she drove three people to the complex and that one of them was armed with a rifle. She also told detectives that she heard three shots fired before picking up the three people and driving away. Both suspects have been arrested and charged with murder in this case.

Police announced Thursday morning that two additional suspects had been arrested.  One of those suspects is identified as 18-year-old Eltonia Humphries.

If his pants had not been hanging down around his thighs he probably would have noticed his wallet fell out.

Perhaps if the courts would actually enforce the death penalty for such and similar crimes, the jails and prisons would not be as full AND the JSO would not be so busy dealing with repeat offenders that should never have left jail to see the light of day again...we need to remove the revolving doors from our penal system and out those who are incarcerated to work to earn their keep by paying for their room and board.

They need to stop letting them off the hook and make them pay for what they did. Teach the rest of the "thugs" that we aren't going to tolerate it anymore. They see that their buddies are getting the death row, then they are going to think twice before doing it. Plus could you imagine how much money would be saved if we weren't feeding all these worthless people.. Anyone who has killed someone for any reason other than self defense should be put down. If a dog did something as little as bite someone, they get put down so..in my opinion, lay them all to rest.
