JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Investigators are on the scene of what appears to be a murder-suicide in North Jacksonville.
JSO tells Action News neighbors called police around 7:10 a.m. Friday after hearing gunshots.
When officers arrived, they found a male and female, both deceased.
The woman was found in a car. Police say it appears the man involved shot her as she was backing the car out of the driveway, before turning the gun on himself.
There is a history of domestic violence with this couple.
Another person in the home was found to be unharmed. Officers believe that individual may be an adult child of at least one of the deceased. However, the individual is believed to be autistic, so officers are still working toward a positive identification.
We have a crew on the scene and will bring you more information on the air and on ActionNewsJax.com as it becomes available.
