Police investigating stabbing in Arlington area

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a stabbing that sent one man to the hospital in life-threatening condition Saturday.

It happenned just before 2:30 p.m.

Police say the victim was stabbed in the torso on News Street near Arlington Road. They say he then ran to the 7800 block of Hare Avenue. The man was transported to U.F. & Shands Hospital in Jacksonville with life-threatening injuries.  He is now listed is stable condition.

JSO arrested the suspect in the stabbing on News Street and say he is cooperating with detectives.
