GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Police are looking for one of the men who may have been involved in a string of motorcycle thefts in Gainesville. Police are looking for Larry Stone. They believe Stone planned the thefts and made arrangements to sell the stolen bikes all across the state.

Police arrested another man, Daniel Roane on a tip. Detectives say Roane admitted to stealing eight motorcycles.

The group would target Suzuki GSX-R and Honda CBR motorcycles in student apartment complexes. Many of the stolen bikes were taken to Lake City or Lakeland, where they were sold for parts or exchanged for Methamphetamine.

Stone has three active arrest warrants for Grant Theft Auto, Conspiracy, and Dealing in Stolen Property. He is known to travel between Lake City, Haile Plantation and Gainesville.

If you have any information that would help police locate Stone, please contact Detective Juan DeCastro at 352-393-7665, or CrimeStoppers at 352-372-STOP.
