Police looking for suspect wanted in traffic stop

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police are looking for a man who is wanted in a traffic stop and also forced a school to go on lockdown.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 29-year-old Lasan L. T. Widget was stopped for not wearing his seatbelt on Atlantic Boulevard Tuesday.

Widget gave his ID to the trooper, said FHP Sgt. Dylan Bryan. The trooper said he smelled marijuana on Widget. Widget then ran from the scene.

A trooper also found a stolen handgun in Widget's vehicle.

Widget is 5 feet 9 inches and weighs between 220 and 230 pounds. Deputies said he has tattoos on his face.

According to FHP, Widget last wore a yellow hat, white pants and yellow sweatshirt.

Widget last lived on E. Cabo Blanco Avenue on Atlantic Beach west of A1A.
