Police search for man who robbed BP at gunpoint

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding an armed robbery suspect.

At 2:38 p.m. Tuesday, a man walked into the BP at 7211 Lem Turner Road, pointed a handgun at the cashier and ordered her to open the cash register.

The suspect grabbed money and fled on foot. The suspect, who police says is in his 20s, was armed with a large black semi-automatic handgun.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS. You can remain anonymous and might be eligible for a reward.
