ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office plans to search an area in Putnam County Friday morning where a missing woman's remains might be located.

Rebecca Ware was last seen leaving her work at Hydro America at 200 Riviera Boulevard in October 2010. A few days after her disappearance, police found her car abandoned in the parking lot of the Wildwood Publix in St. Augustine.

The only person of interest was Ware's boyfriend, Timothy Johnson, but authorities could not arrest him for her disappearance because of a lack of evidence. In August 2011, police arrested Johnson in Putnam County on battery charges unrelated to the case.

Johnson was charged with second-degree murder in August 2012. Investigators believe he played a key role in Ware's disappearance.

On Friday morning, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office plans to search an area in Putnam County where they believe Ware's remains may still be. The location is undisclosed at this time.
