PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- A man is being sought in connection with a burglary to an apartment that occurred earlier this month in Ponte Vedra Beach.

The 41-year old male victim discovered the burglary when he returned home at 5:15 p.m. October 2. Police believe the suspect or suspects gained entry to the apartment in the 100 block of Ironwood Drive through the front door by using a key. Among the items stolen were a large amount of coins, a computer, and several credit cards.

Surveillance video from a Jacksonville gas station captured the suspect’s vehicle when the suspect used the victim’s credit card. The suspect was driving a green late 1990s to early 2000s Toyota Camry. Grainy images of the suspect were also captured at the apartment complex.

Anyone with any information concerning this burglary or the identity of any suspects involved is asked to contact Detective Cheth Plaugher at the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office at (904) 209-3984. You can also remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a cash reward by calling CrimeStoppers of N.E. Florida at 1-(888) 277-TIPS (8477).
