JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jea lifted a boil water advisory Saturday for areas in Ponte Vedra after tests for bacteria in the water came back negative.

The precautionary boil water advisory was issued  Sept. 26 after a landscape contractor broke a water line along Ponte Vedra Beach Boulevard.

The utility company still suggests that customers flush water lines for around three minutes upon first use to remove any air and possible sediments from pipes.

More information regarding the advisory can be attained by contacting JEA at 904-665-6000.
