JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man was sentenced to life in prison for a 2011 pool hall shooting.
Jamey Edgington was sentenced to life in prison Wednesday afternoon. The 21-year-old was convicted last month on charges of attempted first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a juvenile delinquent found to have committed a felony act.
In March 2011, Edgington got into an argument and shot Reginald Martin at Blanding Billiards. Surveillance video showed that after the two had an argument inside the pool hall, Martin left. As Martin was walking to his car, Edgington drove up, fired three shots at Martin and then tried to run him over.
Edgington was convicted of carjacking in September 2008. He is also charged in a 2011 double murder. Edgington faces the death penalty in that case. A trial date has not been set.
