Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week today by the NFL.

Posluszny had eight tackles, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery Sunday at Tennessee.

He forced a fumble by Titans running back Chris Johnson on the opening play of the game and recovered it for the Jaguars. Three plays later, Maurice Jones-Drew gave the Jaguars the lead with a six-yard touchdown run.

Posluszny leads the Jaguars with 88 tackles and two interceptions through nine games along with two forced fumbles, eight passes defensed and two tackles for loss.

He ranks third in the AFC and fifth in the NFL in tackles.
