Predator sentenced to confinement for attacking children
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A sexual predator will stay off our streets, likely for good. A jury sentenced 60-year-old George Brown to indefinite confinement at a secure facility for sexually violent predators.
In 1980, Brown forced an 11-year-old girl to have sex with a 13-year-old boy. When the boy refused, Brown sexually abused the young girl.
Brown was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the crime.
Experts say he suffers from a personality disorder which makes him likely to engage in acts of sexual violence. He will be housed at the Florida Civil Commitment Center in Arcadia, Florida.
