JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A pretrial date has been set for the man accused of stabbing his girlfriend.  57-year-old Thomas Webster received of his next date in court Tuesday.

Police say Webster stabbed his girlfriend during an argument at his home on April 7.

Investigators say Webster told a clerk at a Kangaroo gas station to call 911 because he may have killed his girlfriend.

Police found the body of Patricia Berner, 54, dead from a large stab wound to her back. Investigators also found a kitchen knife on the counter.

The two had been living together at the home on Millpoint Drive for over three years.

Webster's pretrial is scheduled for May 29.
