CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- A pretrial date has been set for one of the suspects accused in the murder of Detective David White.
Jerry Daniels was not in court today. He is the only teen charged in the crime.
His mother, Chastity Prescott, is also facing murder charges along with two other adults, Ryan Wilder and Jennifer Alder.
Prosecutors say all four suspects were squatting in an abandoned home with Ted Tilley in February. Detective White and his partner, Detective Matt Hanlin, went to the home to investigate.
Deputies say Tilley fired on the detectives, killing White and injuring Hanlin. Hanlin fired back, killing Tilley.
Prosecutors say the four other suspects are also being charged with murder, because they were committing a crime at the time of Detective White's death.
