Great to see Vitti is recognizing the hard work of teachers-especially those in schools where, traditionally, the learning and performance has been slow to non-existent. Soliciting the private funding is innovative and applaudable. This goes hand-and-hand with much of the other work he has done surrounding testing and academics. Now, it is time to truly address crime, bullying and school discipline instead of just spending more and bandaging the problem. Get real solutions. Find real experts. Implement proven strategies. I would like to see such a bold approach to this too.
