i think that the students involved should be expelled and the person who brought the pepper spray should reimburse the family of the student who was injured. also the students who were actually fighting should be arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and assault. a police record or the threat of one would deter student violence in all schools.

The high school my son attended made the decision not to travel and play at Palatka HS or allow Palatka HS teams to travel to our school. The Palatka players are rough, foul mouthed, and play to win at all costs. Their fans are very disrespective. Just one month ago, a PHS player was heard telling the official score keepers at another high school basketball game to "Stop the clock b***h." as he ran back to the bench. During basetball season, it is interesting to count the number of extra off duty officers schools hire when Palatka HS boys basketball comes to town. I would venture to say most double if not triple the number of off duty police.

First of all, why was the student carrying pepper spray to school? She was probably afraid. Schools are dangerous these days. They all need to tighten up on kids..maybe then they will stop behaving like little thugs!
