Progress made on Northrop Grumman's 400-job expansion plans
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Groundbreaking is set to begin this fall on a massive expansion project at Northrop Grumman's manufacturing plant near the St. Augustine Airport, according to a public relations official with the aviation giant.
Jacqueline Farrell, with Northrop Grumman, says that some 400 new jobs are expected to be created due to the company's expansion.
The company recently won a multi-million dollar governmental contract to produce several E-2D Advanced Hawkeye military aircraft at the St. Augustine facility.
Construction is anticipated to be complete by December 2015.
