Prostitution sweep in Palatka

PALATKA, Fla. -- Police in Putnam County used social media to arrest six local women for prostitution.

The sting took place on August 29, 2012.  Police Chief Gary Getchell said, "The police department strives to keep the streets of Palatka clean.  In this ever changing world of social media, we have now found it is being used for inappropriate activity.  This operation was conducted to discourage these activities."

The following women were arrested in the operation: Robyn Babcock, 32 of Palatka, Caroline Francois, 37 of Orange Park, Kimberly Mcleod, 24 of Palatka, Ashley Melton, 21 of Palatka, Chelsea Fair, 19 of Palatka and Robin Elworthy, 48 of Palatka.
