PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Officials say they have seen an increase in aggressive behavior in raccoons.

The most recent reports come from the San Mateo and Satsuma areas of Putnam County.

Rabies can be a fatal disease for both animals and humans.

The Sheriff's Office advises people if they come in contact with a raccoon behaving strangely to call Animal Control at 386-329-0396.
