JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The man who robbed a local electronics store is on the run.

Detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are looking into the robbery of the Radio Shack on North Edgewood Avenue.

Police responded to the business Tuesday, Jan. 1 after a report of an armed man showing up and demanding money. The cashier handed over the contents of the register and the suspect left on a gray or silver bicycle.

Crime Stoppers (1-866-845-TIPS) is accepting anonymous tips in regard to this robbery.

what kind of a country have we become??? how is it the robber was denigrated by fuel costs,, that he had to resort to a stolen bicycle,, in order to facillitate his get away ??? i can remember when our criminals would jack up a motorist,, then go and commit the robbery !!! oops,, maybe this einstein forgot to read that chapter on how to be a successful crook ???i can see the headlines now,, POLICE CONDUCT SLOW SPEED CHASE OF CRIMINAL ON A BICYCLE,, pedestrians run over by hit & run bicyclist !!!
