JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- On Wednesday, Renda Broadcasting’s Classic Rock 94.1 WSOS announced the return of the Lex and Terry Radio Show to the Jacksonville airwaves starting Monday, October 15.
“The Givers” Lex Staley and Terry Jaymes, started in Jacksonville in 1992 and became one of the most successful morning shows ever on the First Coast.
“We’re extremely excited to bring Lex and Terry back to Jacksonville. With their 15 years of heritage in the market they will be a tremendous fit to Jacksonville’s only true Classic Rock station,” Bill Reese, General Manager of Renda Broadcasting said. “We’re looking forward to offering their unique form of entertainment to our Classic Rock 94.1 WSOS listeners,” Reese added.
“We are all excited about the return of Lex and Terry. Classic Rock 94.1 WSOS is a perfect fit and we believe Jacksonville is ready to hear their favorite morning show again,” Operations Manager Chuck Beck said.
The Lex and Terry Show hasn’t been heard in Jacksonville on the FM dial since August 2010. The new show can be heard weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
“What an honor it is to be back on in Freakville at Classic Rock 94.1 WSOS. I know there are a lot of people ready for it and so are we. Can't wait,” Lex Staley said.
"I'm really excited to be back. WSOS is letting us do it the Lex and Terry way,” Terry Jaymes added. “We're back! Just like a bad cold!"
