JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Rain & a few thunderstorms will continue into this evening with rain falling everywhere causing a slow afternoon commute.  Slow down & expect ponding of water and low visibility in rain plus from the spray from other vehicles.  Rainfall will average a tenth to a third of an inch, locally a half inch to 1".
The rain will end from west to east by late evening and will be followed by gusty northeast winds and much cooler temperatures.  Highs Tuesday will be some 20 degrees lower than today only reaching the 60s.
A "local Nor'easter" will then dominate the local weather through Wednesday with gusty onshore northeast winds, showers at times, rough seas and surf and some beach erosion.
