Rain diminishing.... storm threat is over

JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Rain will continue to diminish from west to east this evening and the threat for severe storms is over. At least some rain will fell everywhere with amounts averaging a half inch to an inch, locally 1"+.  A few storms produced damaging winds with numerous power outages, snapped tree branches and a few uprooted trees.
Winds gust to 60 mph were reported at Macclenny.... 62 mph at Lake City... 44 mph at the Jacksonville Int'l. Airport... 42 mph at Bryceville... 50 mph at Fernandina Beach... 45 mph at Oceanway... and 45 mph at NAS Jax.  
Skies will clear later tonight with cooler temperatures by morning as lows drop into the 40s to low 50s.  Sunday will be a beautiful day with highs in the 60s under sunny skies.
Yet another storm system will move into the area early next week with rain by Monday night into Tuesday.
