JACKSONVILLE, Fla --  An approaching cold front will bring widespread rain to Jacksonville, Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia later tonight into Tuesday.  Rain will fall in all areas with the first showers arriving between 9pm and midnight continuing through early afternoon Tuesday.  A few thunderstorms may also develop and rain will be heavy at times.  Amounts will average a half to an inch, locally up to 1.5".
The rain will diminish from west to east through the afternoon Tuesday but with mild temperatures.  A secondary cold front Wednesday will bring much colder air with a freeze likely early Thursday.
