JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- No changes are expected at this weekend's Strides for Pride run. The annual 5K fundraiser for JASMYN, a gay and lesbian youth center in Riverside, will go on as scheduled Saturday.
And while the Boston bombings are still fresh on everyone's mind, organizers say they've been assured local runners will be safe.
"Well, we've spoken with our race provider this morning, 1st Place Sports. And they assure us that all the security is in place to run a really great race," said JASMYN Executive Director, Cindy Watson.Registration is still open to runners
