Record January warmth
JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Jacksonville tied a record high Monday afternoon of 81 degrees last set on January 14th, 1888. The unseasonable warmth will continue through midweek with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. While nice, the early warmth has caused an unseasonably early outbreak of tree pollen. Only a freeze will diminish the pollen and no freeze is likely anytime soon. Some rain would briefly decrease pollen counts but no showers are likely until Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday.
