Record lows, freezing weather possible
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Another spring cold front blasted through into Monday morning...dropping temperatures and boosting wind speeds.
Before the coldest air arrives, winds take center stage. A Wind Advisory is in effect until 8 PM Monday evening. Peak winds will hold steady between 20 and 30 mph. Wind gusts to gale force are likely...and a tropical storm force wind gust (39+ mph) is possible!
Winds plus colder temperatures will bring wind chills down into the 20s and 30s by sunrise Tuesday!
The cold air stays put through midweek. Windy and chilly again on Tuesday afternoon as temperatures struggle to reach 60 degrees. Low temps will bottom out just above freezing come Wednesday morning.
A gradual warming trend kicks in later in the week. But overall, temperatures will stay below average (normal high: 75 degrees, normal low: 51 degrees) for the whole week.
Plenty of dry weather (sunshine) is expected.
