JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A registered sex offender faces life in prison after pleading guilty to child molestation.
Robert Goeing Young pleaded guilty Monday morning to molesting a young child. Young's case was set to go to trial this week.
Evidence showed that between August 2010 and March 2011, Young sexually abused a 9-year-old girl. Young was allowed to stay in the child's home and allowed to sleep with the child in her room.
Young is one of five people arrested in the case. Christopher Perry was convicted earlier this month on five counts of sexual battery, one count of lewd or lascivious molestation, one count of child neglect, and one count of conspiracy to Commit Sexual Battery. He was sentenced to life in prison.
Perry's wife, Mary, was sentenced to 30 years in prison on charges of child neglect and conspiracy to commit Sexual Battery. Michael Halveland pleaded guilty in July to lewd or lascivious molestation. He will be sentenced in December. Patricia Woloszynowski's trial date has not been set.
Young faces life in prison. He will be sentenced December 3, 2012.
